Lucky Ducky Paint - A Collection Of Design and Color
Books for the Macintosh
Program description and instructions for the full
registered version of Lucky Ducky Paint follow. Cerain
functions have been omitted in the shareware version and
are indicated by an asterix(*).
Lucky Ducky Paint combines the functionality of a complex
paint program with the Entertaining aspects of a
children's digital picture planning world. Its current
main screen is 500 x 500 pixels and will adapt to smaller
screens automatically.
There are two main modes in Lucky Ducky Paint.
COLORING MODE projects you into a dimension of fantasy
paint brushes, which can each be manipulated through 15
different transfer modes, employing 60 patterns for which
you select both the fore and back colors. An
interdependent point menu allows you further control over
your brush, while designated keys reverse, flip, shrink
and enlarge the brush tip. There is the added capability
of using either the fancy brush alphabet supplied in the
fancy brush menu or using the Text symbol on the control
panel to gain access to your current font collection if
you wish to supply script to your creations. The Text,
like the bucket tool and drawing tools, is in phase with
your current fore color, back color and transfer mode
selections, as well as with your chosen pattern.
DESIGN MODE allows you into the parallel world of "lay
out" where you gain control of the background, central
figure and stamps. You may have created a background
first in the Coloring Mode or wish to select one of the
specially created backgrounds available in the Design
Mode. Here you are also supplied with a central figure
with numerous accessories that you can change to meet
your requirements and with compatible stamps to enhance
your creation. The central figure can be duplicated,
thus saving one of your creations on the screen and
letting you modify the duplicate further. You can, in
fact, end up with hundreds of copies of the central
figure crowded into your screen. The complimentary
stamps, which can be flipped both horizontally and
vertically as well as having the power to shrink or
expand, allow you to further decorate your world, the
current central figure always remaining in the foreground
of the stamps. If your want to put this figure into the
background, simply enter Coloring Mode and return to
Design Mode. When you are satisfied with your creation,
you can print * it in black and white and enjoy coloring
it in with your felt tips or return to the Coloring Mode
and let your Mac have the pleasure.
Lucky Ducky Paint is a modular program. The Fancy
Brushes, central figure, scenes and stamps are unique to
each module. The Princess and Hero modules which have
been supplied with the original program. Other modules
are planned for later release.
